Dear Eagle's Nest Owners,
Please join us at 10 a.m. each Tuesday for our informal Owners’ meeting, located on the mezzanine level. Our weekly meetings provide an opportunity to meet fellow Owners and the Resort Manager, as well as an avenue to review recent and upcoming projects and exchange ideas. Feel free to bring any questions you may have about the resort.
Resort update as of February 2018:
2017 was a busy year, both with planned projects and a number of unexpected projects brought about by Hurricane Irma. On September 8, 2017, we closed for the approaching storm. By October 20, we had completed the initial recovery and were able to reopen to our Owners and guests. We are currently wrapping up outstanding projects from the hurricane, including the installation of the tennis court fence and fence posts, perimeter lighting, and the villa roof tile.
Our planned projects for 2018 include ADA accessibility improvements throughout the tower building ground floor, lobby, and mezzanine level common areas. In May, we expect delivery of our villa living room furniture, lamps, and accessories. We also plan to resurface the pool interior and replace pool tiles this December, during weeks 48 and 49. While the pool is closed for this work, alternate pool use will be arranged with our neighboring Hilton Grand Vacations property, Club Regency.
Our sales department has added more poolside fun to our activities by moving the weekly sales social outdoors. Every Monday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Owners and guests enjoy DJ entertainment along with a free pool-pub beverage, compliments of our sales department, comprised of Lisa Seymore and Samantha Evans. The recreation team has also added live entertainment poolside each Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., along with a variety of poolside fun and games.
Our neighbor to the north, The Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort, continues the construction of their south tower, which will be branded as a J.W. Marriott. Construction of the exterior will soon be completed and noise is expected to be reduced as they move toward work on interior finish and furnishings.
Eagle’s Nest Owners are encouraged to share their knowledge, talents and ideas through service on the Board of Directors. Board meetings are held bi-annually at the resort and Directors are expected to attend both sessions. Travel expenses are reimbursable.
At our Annual Owner Meeting in February, six candidates were seeking to fill the two available seats. Thank you to all who participated in the election, and congratulations to our newest Board Members, Keith Provin and Candace Verwey!
